Process

Here’s a step-by-step process for screen hosts — businesses or property owners who partner with Skyline Digital Media to install and host screens for passive income. This plan is designed to operate smoothly, scale easily, and protect both parties through clear expectations and a simple contract.

Skyline Digital Media — Screen Host Program

Step-by-Step

Host Proces

Step 1: Inquiry & Qualification

• Potential hosts reach out via website or referral.
• Skyline Digital Media evaluates the location:
- Foot traffic volume & visibility
- Dwell time (how long people stay in view)
- Power outlet & Wi-Fi accessibility
- Safety and wall space (indoor focus)
• Approved locations move to site inspection.

Step 2: Site Visit & Agreement

• A Skyline Digital Media technician or rep visits the location (in person or via video call) to confirm:
- Screen placement (height, wall type, lighting conditions)
- Internet connectivity test
- Ideal cable routing for minimal visible wiring
• Host signs a 1-year Hosting Agreement that includes:
- Permission for screen installation and use of electricity/Wi-Fi
- Monthly payment amount
- Revenue share structure
- Maintenance and removal terms
- Content guidelines (family-friendly, no political/religious ads)

Step 3: Installation

• Technician installs the digital screen, media player, and mounts.
• Time required: about 30–60 minutes.
• The system is configured for remote content updates and auto-start in case of power loss.
• Logo tag or QR code optional for brand consistency.

Step 4: Activation

• Once the screen connects to Skyline’s system, ads start running automatically on the set schedule.
• Host receives an activation email confirming:
- Screen ID number
- Start date
- Payment start date

Step 5: Monthly Monitoring & Maintenance

• Skyline remotely monitors uptime and connection status.
• Preventive maintenance or troubleshooting is handled either online or by field techs if needed.
• Software automatically updates ad content; hosts don’t need to touch anything.

Step 6: Payouts

• Hosts earn a fixed % monthly fee, typically deposited via ACH or PayPal on the 1st of each month.
• Sample split:
- Base: 10%/month per screen
- Bonus: +5% for top-performing/high-traffic spots
• Payment report emailed monthly (or visible in dashboard).

Step 7: Contract Renewal or Upgrade

• 60 days before the 1-year term ends, Skyline reviews screen performance and offers:
- Contract renewal
- Additional screen installations (for multi-location hosts)
- Optional upgrade to larger display or duo-screen setup
